My ESS VT2-575 dyno results...
Finally went to a local shop to who had a Dynojet to see the actual power I'm making. We did a bunch of runs from many different gears and found that 4th gear (DCT) gave the best results. I guess I shoulda searched the forum for what gear to dyno in instead of wasting the operators time! Anyway, I'm totally happy with the results: 519 rwhp / 342 rwtq. In addition to the VT2-575 kit I have the full Akrapovic Evolution exhaust. Below are the two runs done in 4th.
I'll probably be upgrading to the 625 or 650 kit next year and will get retested. Not that this isn't enough Last edited by Daft; 10-19-2011 at 09:31 AM.. |

Very nice numbers! It's pretty evident that the Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust does make a difference in power. You should definitely just go straight to the VT2-650

Supercharged or not, I never get sick of seeing that beautiful dyno graph plotting torque and HP. So linear. It is the most linear power curve and the flattest torque curve for the longest RPM's I have ever seen.

Thanks for all the praises. This car is really super fun to drive on boost!
No we didn't log boost. Next time I'll try to get a PSI and a/f readout. Nah I'm not that mechanically inclined. I payed a local shop. Agreed! Even though I got crazy power on tap, it is completely predictable and easy to control. |
