In the exhaust database on M3Post it lists the Akrapovic for $5500. Most of those prices are on the high side, meaning you can fin them for less.
IND recently quoted me $6200. I'm really sick of the gouging that goes and this stupis system of "PM me". Give us, the customers a fair advertised price otherwise go away. People should boycott this PM system and force the retailers to advertise the price for all to see! |

I think that if you do your research, you'll see that IND is a fair business with fair pricing and good service. http://parts.ind-distribution.com/pr...&no=408&Opt=02 http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=7181 http://www.renn-spec.com/product_p/ak-e9xm3.htm

The $5500 price you saw in the exhaust thread, was a quote from August 2008. Also keep in mind that dealers or distributors are contractually obligated to sell aftermarket parts no lower than the M.A.P. pricing limits set by the manufacturer. That means they're not supposed to sell it to you at a lower price than the manufacturer says they can. This is done to keep dealers from decreasing the value of their products by using cut throat pricing maneuvers to increase their individual sales numbers. Several manufacturers will actually VOID your authorized dealer or distributorship status, and any contracts can also be instantly voided as as result. I just wanted to chime in, because I'm not sure how many consumers actually know this occurs behind closed doors. Just my 2 cents...

I agree that the PM system can be somewhat annoying. It is less so when you are dealing with good vendors and effective communicators - like IND. I don't personally have a solution/recommendation to the problem you highlight, but if you do, I would encourage you to pitch it to the site admins. |

I am currently working with IND on my incomming Individual Moonstone M3 Sedan. I have modified cars in the past and have worked with many businesses buying parts. I can say WITHOUT A DOUBT the guys at IND are the best I have dealt with to date. Not only are they quick to respond to emails and phone messages but they are just so great for bouncing ideas off. They give honest opinions and options and never try to push items on you that you don't want or need. The kicker for all of this is they have given me the best prices out of all the shops I have contacted. Jamie

IND is one of the best vendor and people to deal with. prompt replies, great service, and very good prices.
if you don't like the quote you got from a vendor, take your business somewhere else. don't go bad mouthing a vendor because you didn't like a quote. some people just need to grow up.

+1 vouching for one of the best vendors here! I think it's a fair price, even local dealers here can't match what Nate offers!

News from Akrapovic
For those who are environmentally concious, Akrapovic is now offering a 200 cell catalytic converter option in their Evolution exhaust system. Although the 200 cell cats will still require software to not set off a check light, the overall emissions output of the car will be substantially improved for more peace of mind
