WTB e92 m3 - serious buyer

Looking to buy:
Preferred 2013 but open to any year
Less then 60k miles
Looking to spend under 40k

Preferred White/ black exterior but open to others if the engine miles are low
prefer black interior
Carbon roof

You'll likely need to up your budget with those parameters. Just looking at Autotrader I see 30 2013 E92s with 60K miles or less, and not one of them is listed below $40K. And they won't be any cheaper on this forum - as I'm sure you've seen most sellers here are asking huge $ right now.

If I remove the 60K mile restriction there's a number of 2013's listed below $40K. And then even more available if you go with a pre-2013.

Not necessary true...depends on spec. I just sold mine for 36k, but mine had moonroof, DCT and Nav. I wasn't getting any interest at all when I listed it for 38k on this forum.

I don't feel like I got ripped off or anything. I think the ones commanding high prices like you're thinking is manual transmission, no nav and carbon roof. If OP is willing to look for "less desirable" specs, then I think he can have one at less than 40k.

Obviously spec goes a long ways in determining the value for many people - I wasn't thinking any particular spec, I just filtered on 2013 coupes with 60K miles or less and reported the results. I'm pretty sure most of those listed are not 6MT single hump cars, probably just the opposite, and all are priced north of $40K.

That's a fair price you got for yours, I'd be happy with that too. Many of those listed on Autotrader are overpriced, but unless OP can get someone to come a lot lower, those are the prices. Worth noting, a few of those cars were listed in the low 40's.
