Nice car. What's the reason for sale? Can you post more pics and information? Thanks.

Bump. Will send pics to anyone interested.
Just changed all fluids with Motul oils. Running great. Adding to our family and contemplating selling it to a better home. |

Fantastic car! Very difficult to find an E92 with such low miles!
I did notice one curious thing that the price is higher on the Car Gurus listing vs. forum? Also your OP says you're "testing the waters", and with the CG listing it appears you have jumped in Quote:

Tough to give up such a nice car. Also another thing is with all these stimulus packages, printing money, etc. Is there going to be incredible inflation? Driving up the price of cars? Maybe? I don't know the answers! I sold an e92 zcp manual with similar miles 2 years ago for 41k to a dude in LA. He was a sweet dude. He stilll has in and loves it like crazy like an enthusiast should. I want the car to go someone who will appreciate it! Beautiful blue e90 btw! |

I think it's fair to say you may have priced it too high, but that is your right and why not? It's a 2013, last year of production, with only 25k miles in excellent condition!
Having said that, you have a number of things to consider when pricing your car at the $40k level: 1. Competing Against Top E92 M3's in the Country: At that price level, your car needs to be unique in some way (single hump, cloth seats, CF roof, unique color) besides the condition and miles. 2. Black/Black: Is it unique or sought after color combination? I'm not sure. 3. DCT vs 6MT: Though it's my preference, the DCT is not as sought after vs 6MT 4. Pandemic: Financing and and the ability to get used car loans for a car 5+ years old is more difficult right now, though in this price range I would hope that is not an issue IMHO based on the factors above, I'd price it right below $40k and take the strongest offer who can close quickly. I have always had better success pricing my cars more aggressively and getting multiple buyers interested. I can then select the one who can quickly close a deal to save me the time and aggravation sifting through potential buyers. It's my belief you have a special car with extremely low miles in outstanding shape. To your point unless I found a compelling car to match it's overall condition and ability, I'd keep it and enjoy it. I appreciate the compliment on my car and GLWS! Quote:

If it's in pretty much perfect shape as it looks like it is, I think $38k-$40k is about right. 25k miles is incredible, but it's not collector low. Black on black looks great, but shouldn't ask for any sort of premium. In the most realistic terms possible, it's not a special M3, but it's the last year they made them and it's more or less fully loaded. This is a great car for an enthusiast that wants a really nice M3, wants to take care of it and keep it looking perfect, and doesn't want to worry about things that could happen when you start getting higher miles.
Side note, sunroof is also something that might keep people away from $40k. I sometimes wish I bought one for a little more money that was near flawless like this just to keep it that way. I'm fixing things and spending that money anyway lol.

I appreciate your input, good to know your insights for sure, thank you very much. I will probably end up keeping it if 39-40K is what I could get for it now. I used to have a 6mt and I don't know if it's just because I am older now and less crazy but I enjoy the DCT more, and a sunroof on the e92. I think the m3 performs better with the DCT. IMHO. lol! I had a Shelby gt350, if you want a manual I think that car is better, feels bigger, but is a better performer, stock to stock.
Maybe I should trade it for a Shelby lol!!! I like the 2013-2015 Audi RS5's too, love that v8. Definitely making me think through this! Probably going to end up keeping it though, every time I drive it I fall in love again! |

The DCT vs 6MT is the "ballgame" for a lot of guys, and I understand the perspective because that used to be ME
In fact, I wouldn't even consider a BMW with the SMG or other Auto trans equivalents, it had to have the MT or I wouldn't even look at it. But as you mentioned my perspective changed and I now am thrilled with the DCT and it's been 100% the right choice for me. Your approach makes sense to me; price it to what you are willing to let it go for, and if you don't get it you get to keep a fantastic car ... can't get anymore "Win, Win" then that Quote:
