So I like the CA vintage plates but something just seemed off with the front. Yes, black plate on a white car. But something else ... I thought it might be the white OE mount. So I bought an OE Jet Black mount to see if that would blend things a bit more. It does, but it also looks chunkier. What do you guys think?
FWIW my bumper has like 4 holes from a stupid dealer, so plugs aren’t an option. I like the amber so no Euro bumper in my future. And it’s in good shape otherwise so I’m not filling/repainting just to get rid of the plate.

Honestly if you want it to look right, you're going to have to get rid of the plate. If you won't do that I think you just have to live with it. Maybe CF splitters adding another dark element could help, and draw the eye away from the plate.

How about Raiders plate? I think it's black and white instead of black and yellow.

Mine has the four drilled holes too At least on a dark-colored car those holes are less obvious so I've just decided to remove the mount and let the holes be. It bothers me far less than having the mount/plate.

On AW I think your black mount idea is more cohesive and keeps the lines looking cleaner, but it will always be high contrast due to the black plate. I'd say just run it for a while with the black mount or switch back to a white plate/AW mount.

Do you happen to live in the Irvine area? I feel like I've seen that license plate on an e90 around here before? Might've just been on the forums somewhere though?

Nope, I'm in the East Bay.
Agreed, front plates suck. But the holes in the white bumper bother me more.
Digging the black frame for now, will keep both in case but I will keep this one on for now.

Regarding the charger, just something I do. If it sits for more than 4 days, I hook it up.

I have a CTEK, so the marketing jazz tells me it is smart enough to not over charge my battery while letting it naturally come down a little to then charge it back up. Much like driving a car.

Tried to make a rev video for an exhaust that I'm selling but my tune wouldn't let me rev it past 3500rpm 😂... damn launch control.. I guess I have to rig up a go pro back there and go for a "spirited" drive...

Nope looks clean! I do like having back up sensors though. I will likely install a back up camera at least.

Yah sam. one thing I miss on this car is the backup sensors/camera. Will be interested to see what camera setup you go with.

Previous owner installed a retrofit on mine and I love it. I went without one on my E93, this car is surprisingly difficult to parallel park, I think the hardest car I’ve owned, and this has mostly remedied the issue.

Retrofit plays very nicely with PDC and iDrive.

Can’t imagine why this was a euro-only option

Did a regular maintenance wash with Bead Maker as a drying aid today after taking a short cruise to get some gas.
