I agree. I think dark colored wheels look best with light colored cars.

How many sets of wheels have you gone through this year?!?! Hahaha. Love the way your car looks, that drop is super nice.

Love it... all of it but then again I'm partial
How much different is the ride with 18s with the car lowered? Looking at your list makes it seem you have a soft spot for them. |

The HRE R43's and HRE R40's are my favorites. I am a huge fan of HRE, their customer service, design, and customization ability. I had a small scratch on one of my R43's and HRE charged me $100 for them to fix and re-powder coat. They are 10 minutes from my house which makes working with them ideal. Second to the HRE's are the Volk TE37's. NOT the TE37 SL's which I'm not a big fan of on the street. I prefer to run center caps so the SL's are not my preference (regular TE37's accept center caps). I'm also not a big fan of the TE37 SL standard color. In general I do find Volk wheels to be the best compromise of quality, weight, strength, price, and fitment. Concave wheels don't really do anything for me so the G25's, while impressive, weren't my favorite. I really don't understand people's obsession with concave.... I won't likely ever get a 20" wheel again as the tire sizing and performance is less than ideal. I also don't like the way a 20" wheel looks on an M3. 18's with the right offset, sizing, and tire sizes are hard to beat on a car lowered like mine (from both a looks and performance perspective). I really like BBS wheels but their sizes and offsets and weight are not ideal. The BBS FI's are very light and beautiful but their offsets on the 19" version do not allow the fitment of 275/295 tires. On top of that they are crazy expensive. I also like black wheels best on SSII. Someday I may try Volk's Mag Blue which I also think suits SSII well.

It's honestly not a huge difference from a 19" wheel but it is a little softer. That of course also depends on the tire and tire sizing. Some tires have a stiffer side-wall than others which is just as much of a factor as the diameter of the wheel. I have also seen people run 295/30/18's (too small of a diameter IMO) on their 18" wheel so their ride quality would likely be the same as my car with 295/30/19's. I typically run 275/35/18's and 285/35/18's on my 18" wheels. I would run 295/35/18's but there are not many tires available in that size and it requires the correct offset. 18's are typically less expensive, have more UHP tire options, and look/perform great on a lowered car.

Nice... Like I told you your bronze TE37s and your black HREs you had on your white M3 were my favorites. I should have bought those from you.

Thanks. Despite my plan to "settle down", I have a feeling that there will be more opportunities for you to buy wheels from me

LOL I may be visiting again next year but I told myself to not buy anymore things for my M3 and sell it and the X5 and get into a Gallardo or R8 but I do not want to pay California tax so I may go live in Oregon for a year or so. I still have my residency there and maybe get one while I am up there.
