GT3 RS + Monza porn
Not M3 content, but I know I'm not the only one on the forum fond of GT3s. And there's an E36 getting passed at one point, so relevant enough.
997.2 GT3 RS at what appears to be the limit around Monza in all its glory. Check the catch mid-Curva Grande at about 0:44. 220 kph (~135 mph). Side note -- fastest lap at the F1 Monza GP this year was in the 1:25 range, so 36 seconds faster than this guy. Seems impossible.

Wow that was awesome! Talk about using the whole track and opposite lock through some of those corners was intense! 36 seconds faster!!! That is just frightening

Sweet. I am stepping up to a 997.2 GT3. I pick it up in less than two weeks. 2010 with 8K miles.

Nice. Tracking it I assume? Please post a comparison. I'd like to know how much faster it is than your M3 with the listed mods.

Yes. That is the car. He never posted pics because we already did the deal. I fly to Miami to get it as soon as I get back from Tokyo in ~1 week.

Get rid of the OEM muffler (the side mufflers suck ass). Get the numeric short shifter with the cup car cables, upgrade your diff, and get monoball suspension components. Any most important....5 lug conversion!!!

Pretty much. I'm just helping him get ahead of the curve.
Here's so more detail justifying each mod: Exhaust upgrade - gets rid of 50lbs off the rear, eliminates heat to rear tires from side mufflers, and provides a great sound Numeric shifter w/cup car cables - bolt action rifle type of shifter with no slope and easy shifting under load (exhaust will drone out the sound of the cup car cables) Diff upgrade - the OEM diff is the weak link in the 997 GT3 and after about 4-5 track days you are basically running an open diff Monoball suspension components - car feels more connected to the ground and makes changing the alignment easier 5-lug conversion - CL hub is 1/3 the thickness of the 5-lug hub and if the hub goes your car while tracking your car will be a paperweight plus no replacing $8k CLs when they fatigue.
