Possibly No More Front Plate in VA?

Saw this circulating on 6speedonline

I hope this becomes reality - as in no more front license plates for VA owners

we need to get involved. I don't mind front plates so much on other cars, but not on mine.

This is good news if we can make it come true.

They need to kill annual state inspection while they are at it.

why? though not fool proof, i'd rather have some mechanism that inspects vehicles on the road to ensure some level of compliance.

Yeah, there's no proof that it helps and seems overkill to do it annually. I'd be ok with maybe every 2-3 years.

continued to 2013 means the vote is postponed to 2013?

anyways, love the fact the bill was introduced, but the reasoning written on that forum is amateur at best. If ppl copy and paste it, most of the items on the list are not agruments based on facts. (the only one factual is the cost of plate production)

true, but not everyone drives finely engineered machines like BMWs, Mercs, etc or takes care of them for that matter.

A lot of hoopteys, rustbuckets, etc on the road that need attention.

Perhaps for brand new cars they can get a pass for 2-3 years or something. But used...you never know. lol
