LeatherZ boot question

I installed the F10M5 knob and leatherZ boot.

Love the shifter. So much smoother now.

My question is regarding the boot. I ordered a separate boot, because I thought that it would look nice with the M stitching. My issue with the boot is that the leather does not match the OEM leather. The OEM leather is matte and somewhat hard, but the boot is very soft and shiny.

Anyway to make it match more? Tried leather cleaners/conditioners and it has dulled a bit, but still doesn't really match the rest of the leather.

Retrospectively, I would have just ordered the shifter and cut out the OEM boot.

Yep, that's about the size of it. I have the LeatherZ boot and I just live with it.
