*Valvetronic Designs Updates to V2 Exhaust system!*

Good afternoon all you high revving naturally aspirated supreme individuals,
As our full exhaust package for the E9X M3 has continued to grow in popularity, we have made some changes from the traditional design in order to improve the product, sound quality and flexibility.

In the front section, all free flow configurations are now quad resonated. After thousands of hours of testing the system on many different vehicles, and understanding what customers are really looking for, we have noticed an interest in cleaning up the sound slightly, while retaining the rawness and aggression. We have moved to a quad resonated set up with two resonators upfront, and two more resonators in the midsection. This helps remove even more unwanted rasp, but keeps the system raw and engaging.

The rear section has also been updated with a new muffler configuration in order to provide similar sound dampening with better flow through characteristics when the valves are closed. Additionally, when the valves are open, new chambering has been utilized in order to give a drone reduction compared to other valved systems on the market. Utilizing these properly placed perforations inside the muffler casing allows for drone and rasp to be controlled even when the exhaust is opened!

We look forward to continuing our mission and providing the world's greatest exhaust systems to enthusiasts. As mentioned with many of our videos, this set up is very expensive and not for those who are looking for a cheap sound alternative. We have heard some stories of other E9x M3 ending up with blown motors due to improperly engineered valved exhaust systems.

For those of you not looking for compromise and whom are interested in getting this configuration for vehicle. Please feel free to reach out to us with further questions on our website or through your local dealer!

Nice update...
Actually, in the market for an upgrade...been torn between valved v non-valved systems [i.e. Supersprint F1 Race]

Questions
1) Why latest config remains classified as V2 instead of V3 given modifications noted?
Web site observation - Seems a bit confusing for consumers to known precisely which 'version' they're purchasing.

Rear Section:
2) "new chambering"; contain a Helmholtz chamber or different design approach?

Valve Actuation:
3) Option availability for vacuum or electric only?
4) Valve design - Any improvement from previous config?

A bunch of great questions, let’s address each one individually so that you can make the best purchasing decision for your position:

V2 is more of a naming strategy, we have found that folks are so familiar with the V2 as the Valvetronic Designs system. These updates serve to enhance the V2 experience rather than it being something completely new!

A different design approach we will be keeping under wraps until the patent process is completed.

Available as a rear section or full system depending on what fits the customers needs best.

Vacuum only. Although other manufacturers use electronic, we find them to be unreliable. Our objective is to offer a product that will last. With vacuum valves we are able to do this with more confidence than electronic.

Valve hardware has been updated with new ball bearings on the pivot arm to improve smoothness and longevity.

Appreciate the prompt response...some follow ups:
  • Availability - Please expound; 'V2+' lead-time to ship, etc
  • Comparisons - Any plan to share vids of previous vs current config or just latest 'sound'?
  • Country of Origin?
  • Valves - Settings remain binary or allow for partial opening?

systems are in stock and ready to ship

we will be releasing sound clips very soon, we are waiting for our safety car to be finished with winter maintence!

Only binary at this time. Partial positions allow for the exhaust gases to dictate angle as the valve has no leverage. we have experimented with partial positions with electronics but find it to not be valuable to the driving experience.
