They're only a little bit more 'yellow' than the stock halogen bulbs. Output is not much better.

Update

I stopped by EAS today and Tom coded my halos to be on at full brightness at all times. The difference is amazing and made me totally change my reaction from "meh" to "wow"

I'll try to snap some pics tomorrow

I love the white on mine but I must agree with you on that your lights are very nice against your black car. I dont think it would look as good on mine.
At the end of the day its what suits your eye

Quick advice please

For an 09 model e92, it has the stock yelllow halos. I would like to change them to white. Do I simply just buy some white hid bulbs and don't need to buy a whole new hid kit?

Thanks in advance

You need the complet kit. An HID bulb will not work without its ballast.

yea i said IMO they are played out, i had them and nearly every e9x has them. Got tired of the look and gold matched the color of my car much better.

not for everyone or color but i think it gives my car more character than white
Yellow is last generation in reality and the blueish/white is not played out here on the east coast. Every M3 (which isn't many at all) have the OEM 2007 yellow bulbs. Thats so last generation and doesn't look that great. Most folks arent going to dish out the near $300 just to change color or so I have noticed.

Can I just replace the yellow bulbs with white LED ones? I.e. the lux h3?

I have the same ones and love them. Loved them more with Coding, so the AEyes never dim. And at night they look aggressive.

I bought them on eBay.

Does the coding make them any brighter in daytime or only with the headlights on?

They can increase voltage and maybe make them brighter, but I Prefered to keep the same voltage as during the day, then at night they bright same as say. They look perfect.

And with the coding we eliminated the amber corners, so now you can enjoy the clean front with yellow and Xenon.

Priceless. lol

Both are ok even though the yellow are last generation. I have the yellow on my X5 and white on my M3. I like both.

I have a full blackout V4 setup and it looks insanely nice on jet black M3. Yellow looks like corn teeth....

Are any of you guys running yellow LED Bulbs? Or just yellow halogen H8?

Reason I ask is because of the heat output. I'm assuming the halogens run a lot hotter than the LEDs. (Lux v3)

I was about to start a new thread, but my instincts told me

I've been on the fence re: halo color. After seeing the new LEDs on the F30, white halos just don't look right on the E9x. They don't look bad, and the yellow lights don't look perfect either. But there's something about the OEM lights that has grown on me.

The yellows look cool on some cars, particularly the JZB ones, but the white/blue halos look nice on lighter cars, particularly if you do a full black-out on the headlights.

In any case, you should go with what you like, not what some internet forum deems "played out". In six months, it will be the amber/yellows that are played out, and the white ones will be retro cool. You kids and your fads.

Just put yellow piaas on couple weeks ago. Im a sucker for yellow though (jdm!! Lol)

There is a dofference to an actual yellow bulb and the stock halogen "yellow". I dont think some people on here understand that.
