I have seen a few differant ones in person and i went with the lux because they looked the best. I tried taking a pic with my phone but it just looks like the headlights are on. I guess the phone just cant capture the rings. But they look great even in daylight as running lights.

Yeah I have to agree. The lux angel eyes are great. Ive had mine for a year now and they have been spectacular. I agree with M3garage, phone pictures dont do them justice. You either need to see them in person or through a good camera to capture what they actually look like in person..... totally worth the money...

I have the Lux H8s and they are wayyyy worth the money. Easy install (unless you got meaty hands lol) and you don't have to mess with any harnesses or taking out the headlights. I took a picture when I was putting them in to compare the Lux's to OEM. It's not the best picture in the world since it was taken off my phone, but it should give you a little idea of how much better they look.

Edit: Here are some from my latest photoshoot of just the Lux lights themselves

There has always been some debate about HID's vs LED angel eyes. LED Angel eyes are 100% plug and play and dont require external wiring. They also work to make the inner and outer rings almost even brightness while HID's make the inner rings blinding while the outer rings are still dim.

HIDs def don't leave the outer ring "dim".

Do HIDs require some sort of coding to increase the voltage? I believe stock 3.8v isn't sufficient to ignite the HID ballasts.

no coding needed for HID's as they come with ballasts that do all the work

you can code w/ halogen bulbs to a higher voltage which would increase the brightness....

The tech and geneatals are correct, no coding is neccessary Alpine did a good job with theirs. The inner ring is brighter in comparison to the outer ring. For the HIDs you do have to wire a ballist that corrects the power needed to power the HIDs
