How to remove headlight washer caps?

I've done a search but did not come up with anything specific.

Can someone please tell me how to remove the headlight washer caps on our M3 front bumpers?

I need to install a clear bra without the pre-cut holes and I think it will be easier for me to cut with the caps removed.

Thanks in advance!

I've attached a pic.

I had a hard time getting these off too. There are tabs on both sides of the piece that you need to push inward. The hard part is finding something thin enough slide in and not scratch the paint. I used a tiny flathead screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape. I ended up breakinf one of the tabs and had to glue it back together .. ugh. Obviously, it's much easier if you just remove the bumper

Those are a real PIA to remove without removing the bumper. I ended up breaking one of them.
just in case... part #'s from getbmwparts is 51118041149 and 51118041150

Use a dental floss wrap it around then squeeze tight. That should puss the tab in enough so you could remove it. Btw They are cheap so if you break one just buy a new one. Dont ruin the bumper taking them off.

Thanks guys! Edjay, I'm gonna try the dental floss method first and report back.

Thanks for the part numbers j2m. Do you know if those come painted or not?

It might be cheap to replace, but expensive to get painted
