Don't forget to tell us if your used car is a 'Certified Pre-Owned', as this will add ~$3000 to the price you paid.

Thoughts....

'09 E92. Fully loaded w/ every single package and all options except for extended leather. DCT transmission. 10K miles. Eisenmann exhaust and carbon fiber diffuser and front splitters, integrated radar detector, clear bra and tint applied. Negotiated down to $53K.

Would very much appreciate opinions.

Thoughts on this car? I believe it has an in-service date of Apr 2008 based on the Carfax. They are asking $46k. What is a good offer?

You gonna ask for more than $6k off on a used car?

I'd say $43-44k is fair.

Do a quick search on cars.com or autotrader.com (or any other car site) and you'll find M3's with half the miles for 44, so I'd say a realistic price would indeed be high 30's.

Not within 500 miles of where I'm at. Is it normal to buy a used car sight unseen and have it shipped? I'm curious as it seems so risky to me, especially with a car that costs so much.

sounds like there are some great deals to be had out there....to bad none of them are in Calgary hahaha....seem's like all M3's for sale here are way overpriced regardless of dealer or private sale!

just gotta wait it out and hopefully a good deal will come along

Without certain relevant information, all of these prices are useless when determining how well someone did, either alone or relative to yourself and your own deal. Posters must include such information as private seller or dealer, and if dealer, Certified Pre-Owned or not. You also need to specify where in the world you live, because geography also plays a significant role in the market price of any given vehicle. So that $42k could have been a shitty deal, or a fantastic one. It all depends. Without the aforementioned info, it's just a meaningless number.

Absolutely. Another important piece of info is whether you had a trade-in and how much they gave you for it.

Seems like too much for a non-CPO 08, even with the low miles. Maybe ~49-50k would be more reasonable.

You might wait forever. I'm in Saskatchewan and I gave up trying to find one in Canada. I bought one in California and it's being shipped as we speak. With all import fees, transportation, etc it will still be about 20% cheaper than a 2008 M3 in Canada and it's a 2009. It takes a little more paper work then buying one in Canada, but it's not that difficult.
