Cost to flush/replace power steering fluid

Has anybody recently had this done to their M3?

I have a 2009 e90 and was quoted just over $300 for the job by Ultimate Bimmer Services in Nashua.

The majority of that cost was 2 hours in labor.

Since I am already getting the brake and coolant flushed/replaced (at very reasonable prices), I figured that I would add the power steering to the list since I have never done that in the 5 years I have owned the car (covering roughly 42k miles).

Thanks,

George

Do yourself a favor and siphon it out from the reservoir. Fill it, turn the wheels lock to lock 8 times and repeat 3-4 times or until the fluid color is light again. $40

That place seems expensive. They are charging someone $2900 for rod bearings, about $1000 parts and $1900 labor for a job that should take a mechanic who has done it before less than 8 hours.

I do all my own work so I don’t have a shop to recommend. I would DIY like EJT86 suggests.

I can’t locate my receipt but I’m pretty sure I wasn't even charged for 1 hour for the same service. As others have mentioned, I would look for a new shop.
