Nice, congrats Dan!!

Glad it all worked out and you took delivery. We should do a little meet up if you’re in the LA area. The car looks absolutely mint.

Little update on some parts I've been buying for her.

Found a MINT set of carbon leather trim.

Nothing makes me happier than a fresh brand new set of OEM 359Ms along with a new M-Performance carbon rear wing. My heart sank for a minute when the first BMW dealership I tried to order from said the rear 359Ms were NLA. After calling around I was able to secure a complete brand-new set.

And finally managed to secure a set of Unobtanium NLA OEM carbon mirror caps.

I went with staggered, I tried squared before and it looks amazing but whenever I ran a wide tire up front I get a lot of tramlining.

Update 4/11/23
  • OEM LCI tail-light conversion done and coded.
  • OEM BMW battery installed and coded, I think she still had her OE battery.
  • Brand new OEM 359Ms mounted up with fresh new OEM size PS4S and sensors.
  • Removed the IND paint match front and side grilles for factory chrome. I'll eventually replace them with the "Edition" black chrome ones.
  • Installed correct ZCP springs (X6/X5) for my 6MT vehicle build. ZCP EDC and EURO MDM coded in.
  • AlpineMSS Stage 1 tune flashed

Dan, have you ever considered getting bumper plugs in MR?

When I bought mine it had the front bumper drilled for the front plate, so I ordered the bumper plugs online and the paint matches pretty well. For $35 it might hold you over a little better until you get the bumper refinished.

I would consider plugs temporarily but there are 4 holes drilled into the bumper which I think would look funny if I plugged them up.

Update 4/19/23

Knocked out the M-Performance rear carbon lip install. I was debating on trying Betalink for the first time but decided against it, trusty 3M VHB did the trick again. With proper prep, correct 3M VHB thickness, and adhesion promoter, I can get the spoiler to sit just as flush as other Betalink installs I've seen. Threw on the edition front black chrome grills and M-Performance carbon mirror caps to complete the look.

Update 4/24/23 @ 16,897 miles.

My day off today so I did the cabin filters and plugs then took her out for a nice drive down PCH. Feels like an absolute dream, wish I could drive her more but I mainly only take her to work once a week.

I found a Hotwheels version of my car, I was so excited since it was the same color too. Now I need to find a 1/18th scale version.

Update 12/6/23 @ 17,244 miles.

It's been a while since an update, I haven't been driving her much, only managed to put probably around 400 miles in 8 months.

Washed her, and took her out for some pics.

Test-fitted genuine M-Performance front splitters. If you guys want the absolute perfect fitment, OEM is worth it. Most likely won't keep them since I have a different look I'm going for soon.

Probably the last pictures with my OEM 359Ms, changing things up soon.

Received these after months of waiting.
Richland Forged ZSPEC Matte Black, fully forged 359M with more concavity in size 19x9.5+22 and 19x10.5+22 with freshly mounted Michelin PS4S 255/35/19 and 275/35/19s.

Update 12/19/23

Threw on the black Richland Forged 359M wheels and removed the M-Performance front splitters. Ordered a Haimus Racing GTS front lip.

I was back and forth between silver and black wheels but once lowered I think she looks great with the red/black contrast.

Nice little booty shot after the installation.

Looks great man! So clean! Planning to install my M-Performance lip soon. What 3M tape did you use?

As she sits today. I was back and forth between silver and black wheels but once lowered I think she looked as the youngins say, "fire" with the black wheels.

Wow! Love the red/black color combo!!! Very nice!!!
