employment law in ny

what happens if a company you worked for owed you commissions and they sold the company. Can you still get paid if you go to the wage dept in NY?

you should if you completed the job, I mean I'm no lawyer but I did take some business law classes and if they won't pay I'd take it to court, but first go through a lawyer just to see what your rights are, hope that helps.

they were bought by indymac but the former ceo still runs the company. I am getting my former cell records to prove that it was if fact my customer... They are going to say that expenses were incurred that negated my pay but I had no authority to waive fees/appraisals, (not my fault) If the wage dept can't help me I think I am going to keep calling his(the former ceo) boss and see what happens. We can all skype him. If that doesn't work I will threaten to go to the media...
