It does attach in a similar fashion, however it does not clip or snap it. There is a retention pin at the botton of the Knob Extension, you will need to drill a small hole in the shift for the pin to fit and keep the Knob in place. Its actually pretty straight forward and does not take very long to install.

I just realized I also have:
