You can work out a deal where BMW will paint you car any color you want. just like Ferrari or any exotic, but like in an exotic its really expensive, I've hear a couple grand more!!!

Do a search to see what it will look like. However you're not in luck cause its not available in LSB.

Skierman's thread seemed to indicate that certain special colors are available for Priority 1 ordering at a very high price (per their meeting with M brand manager in US).

I am not sure if this helps, but I tried to special order my M3 as well. First, I wanted Pearl White Individual, a color that BMW of course would not offer in the US. Then I decided to settle for a regular color, and was willing to pay extra for a Stratus Gray M3... Again, my dealer inquired and it is not possible.
My dealer told me that it was possible to special order a color a few years ago, but in recent years BMW stopped this special service. If you end up getting LSB; I will be utterly amazed. My dealer has been wonderful and made great things work, if it was possible at all, they would have figured out a color that is not regularly available. Best regards, CSL

Guesstimate: at least $10k for "priority" exterior/interior, if that option really does exist. That's a lot of money to attract Smurfette.

But I wonder if anyone will actually be successful at placing such an order? It sounds as if people have already tried, and failed. This might be a case where you have to know the right people in the right places to get anywhere. I wish Larry or someone else from BMW NA would explain how to do this... if it really is possible. |

Clearly Jellis didn't read me thread on my interview with the BMW NA M brand manager, Larry Koch. Here's the question and answer.
--------------------------- Will Laguna Seca Blue ever be offered on the E9x M3? Another question he asked the folks in Germany: You can place a "priority one" order, it will take about 3 months to get the car and it won't be a "friendly" price. It cost's BMW a lot to reconfigure a paint booth for an individual color, plus all the external "smaller" parts (like door handles) would need to be painted by hand, a very labor intensive process. --------------------------- I would use the words "priority one order" with your dealership. I would also use Larry Koch's name with the dealership and ask them when they talk to BMW NA to ensure that someone talks to him or someone in his department. Larry actually called BMW AG to get the answer to this question, so I'm fairly confident it's the correct answer. Also, Larry said he knows how much it would cost BMW to do this, what he hadn't calculated what it would cost the customer, which means to me that he could determine a retail price for this service with in a few days to a week. I'm very curious what that price will be, we seem to have quite a few forum members interested in custom paint.
