F10 M5 6mt Knob swap

Anybody every done this? If so, would anybody be willing to do this for me or at least show me how? I know there are threads on this, but I'm not sure I would tackle this on my own...

Thanks

I have, its not that hard to do. If you want to send me your stock shifter and the m5 shift knob I can do it for you.

If you currently have the regular 6MT knob/boot on it atm, why can't you ship the F10 for MkP to work on?

What are you suggesting? What's he going to work on if I have the boot installed on mine? I've read that the more difficult part is fixing the new F10 knob + boot onto the E9X ring and installing into the recepticle.

Maybe I've misunderstood you.

Only reason I am offering this is because my m5 shift knob is just sitting as I replaced it with a Stomwerks shift knob and alcantara boot. And just willing to help other members out

So it's already been fitted to an M3 ring? Is ther any noticeable wear on it, or is it pretty much new? Would you prefer straigh up cash for it?

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you or anything. hahaha

Its "like" new and fitted to the m3 ring, had it on the car for a few weeks.
Not looking to sell it outright as when I do decide to part the car I want to have it so I can take the current shift knob and boot off.

Yeah, we did. Misunderstanding on what each other had. I figured I'd wait and outsource my work to somebody local via *********** or Houston Eurotic
