Who has the most miles on their AP Racing by Essex Brake Kit?

I was looking through some of my old posts here on the forum and realized that we (Essex) introduced our first AP Racing by Essex Brake Kit for the e9x M3 here on the forum almost ten years ago!

Back in 2019 we heard from a client who had been enjoying his brake kit for over 50,000 miles. Now that we are approaching the ten year mark since their introduction, I'm curious how many miles others have now logged on their kits.

I'm also thinking that whomever has the most miles on their kit probably deserves some type of reward. So who has put the biggest hurting/most miles on one of our kits?

Thanks for a great decade gents...we have really enjoyed supporting this community for the past ten years!

ps Please share your favorite pic of your M3 that includes our brakes (if you have one)!

I have 8,000 track miles on mine, not quite sure what that equates to in street miles! lol

Beautiful pic, and thanks for sharing! That's seriously like 50,000+ street miles...whole different can of worms. When I wrote my post yesterday I had track miles in mind, hence my 'biggest hurtin' on them' comment...but brings up a good point.

Thank you for your support...much appreciated.

I'd certainly be curious about both track and road miles. We had a C5 Z06 customer with something like 30k+ wheel-to-wheel racing miles during something like five years of abuse. He called me up one day and was like, "Hey man...should I rebuild my calipers now? They aren't leaking, but it feels like it should be time..."

I sold many Essex / AP Racing kits to my customers and never had anyone get all the way through a set of discs. A few people replaced them after a year or two because they felt like it was cheap insurance and started to get nervous despite my insistence that the discs still looked fine. I don’t believe any of my customers daily drive those cars so I don’t know of any high mileage examples but dozens and dozens of track days and even NASA competition didn’t bother them a bit. Truly great stuff.
