Exterior door handle comfort access function is no longer working, suggestions?
Just noticed a few weeks ago that my driver side exterior door handle isn't functioning properly but the passenger side functions completely normally.
Clearly the handle needs to be replaced, but I am not sure if I need to purchase a brand new OEM part or if a used part will work instead. Also, I've read the new ones need to be painted, so I'm not sure how exactly that should be done if I go that route. Any suggestions would be great! |

My drivet side comfort access stopped working, also noticed it was a little warm so clearly a short cut. Don't believe its possible to repair but not too expensive to replace with new. Dealer work incl paint, $350 ish, done.

The comfort channels on the left and right sides of my car have been changed, and they failed at different times during the year. Go to eBay to buy a second-hand one, exchange it for $49.05 on the right and $34.92 on the left, and return to the comfort mode.

Do the new handles have to be programmed or is it simply plug and play with any used one?

This is disassembling the left and right ones that don’t work。
