Just in, here are some brand new spy shots of the BMW Lightweight E90 M3 said to be called M3 EVO. Back in April, BMW teased us with a first surprise appearance of this car in Garching. Thanks to Klier and rususlik who caught this car at the Nürburgring, we can now share another glimpse at this car. A photo by rususlik below also shows what the prototype's blue color looks like compared to interlagos blue (on the Z4 M coupe next to it).

Unlike the earlier spotting, this test car looks exactly like what has been presented in Garching. Dedicated front spoiler lip and rear spoiler supposedly made from some lightweight material, and 6-piston lightweight brakes (more info).

This is also the first look we have had at the interior of the lightweight M3. The tachometer/speedometer is not discernible, but we do spot a alcantara steering wheel.

The M3 EVO is said to sit between a regular E9x M3 and the extreme M3 GTS, meaning the M3 EVO will retain to seat four persons and offer at least a bit of day-to-day usability. We expect a more powerful version of the famous S65 4.0l V8 engine with an output of roughly 440hp.

BMW will unveil all details about the M3 EVO at the M Festival in June. Unfortunately, we've learned already that it won't make it to the US.

If they become production, just go to realoem.com to lookup the part number then order it.

People have been ordering the only available to Euro spec E34 M5 multi piston fixed caliper brakes for example.

Yeah that's pretty cool. I love better brakes, and I'd love to get a "factory" upgrade.

Wow. That actually looks a lot better in those pics than it did when it was first unveiled. I like it!

Like it!

What's the bet there will be an E92 version next year, closer to end of production for the coupe?

People were complaining about the stock exhaust being on the car when it was unveiled...

Is it me or does the rear end look diesel?

Seriously?! I'm sure it's lighter than stock E90, but you would think they could do even more with those two items...
