Blown up rear P-zero zr19

Just needed some good advice.
So here it goes. I was driving along
I-10 (socal) when I was ready to exit the freeway, a heard a soft boom. Seconds later, I saw tire pressure monitor lid up. So I pulled over right away and saw the tire had a 3 inch crack widthwise with of course a flat tire. Bought the car brand new last sept 2011. Has 8k miles now and is only driven as relaxed as i can be. Never been to a track.

Who do i need to voice out my concerns regarding this??

If you have tire/wheel insurance, time to call the dealership.

I'm assuming a rear tire is the problem. How much tread is left? Those P-zero's have a rep for not lasting long.

Contact the dealer or BMW roadside assistance if you need to tow your car.

calintexas is correct - the P-Zeros do not last long even with only highway driving. 8k miles is enough to wear out a P-Zero rear tire. How much tread is remaining on the other rear tire?

Called them right away and towed to the closest dealer. Treads are all ok even on the blown up one. Il try to call P tom and maybe i get lucky.
