Depending on weather I will try to go. I have a few friends in C63s and a spanking new 2010 S4 as well.

BTW, I just saw that the route is in reverse this time, how bad is Rt. 29 with traffic?

Rt 29 sucks as much as Rt 50 does but we'll only be on it for a short amount of time to get to 211 which is usually nice and empty

I hope melting pot isn't busy! There's going to be a lot of people going on this drive. I'd say at least 30 cars so far.

Steven, the camera man and video editor, needs a ride in a convertible or car with a sunroof to get the best shots. Let me know if you're willing to take him. It would be best if there was more than one person so he can get shots from different cars.

Don't forget to bring car mounted cameras if you have them!

That's exactly what I'm thinking.

Less than a week until the drive!

Therefore to the back of the pack with him! From the last ride I do remember hitting more than a few >6k rpm points especially in the beginning trying to catch up to you guys with that M5 and I think it was Baarii's xpiped M3! Also leaving that rest stop on the mountain there was some triple digit speeds if I recall or dayum near them on a few occasions. No worries...all are welcome! LOL

Hey BTW has anyone switched to winter tires yet or will everyone still be wearing summer rubber? My Dunlop 18" winters are still in my garage unmounted and will likely stay so until this ride is over and/or Thanksgiving weather rolls around.

I'm at 750 too, should we get an oil change before-hand?

yeah, somebody post up the meeting place and time... is it 9am for people that wanna eat and 10am for those that dont?

I still think we should meet at a more remote location so we can actually stay as a group when we leave...

There's a Harris Teeter down route 29 a couple of stoplights past IHOP that has a huge parking lot. That might be a better place to meet for people who don't want to eat.

Yes we're meeting at iHop at 9am and leaving around 10am. I have no doubt we'll get split up as we travel through the lights on 29 to 211 but 211 is a long and lazy road. As long as the group in front goes the speed limit, the people in the back will easily catch up. We can also stop at the Shell gas station further down 211 to regroup, get drinks, use the bathroom and whatnot. The real fun starts once 211 hits the mountain range

The iHOP address is:
7495 Iron Bar Ln
Gainesville, VA 20155

I'll post a full plan later.
