New Tuning Option - ECUWorx & Frieling iFlash
For anyone who hasnt yet seen this, there's a brand new tuning option for E90, E92, E93 M3 MSS60 Ecu.
The reading and writing is done via Frieling iFlash cable and software. $290 https://www.frieling-group.com/produ...-tuning-cable/ Here's an example: The calibration is applied via ECUWorx £275 / $390 https://www.ecuworx.co.uk/2018/04/01...tool-released/ The total cost is $680. This seems attractive especially when compared to other options which are more costly, and less open source / modification friendly. Thinking of ordering this in the next few days, unless someone thinks it might otherwise be a bad idea. Also, it looks like we could take advantage of a group buy. Frieling sells 10 packs for $1850 ($185/cable) bringing the total price to $575 https://www.frieling-group.com/produ...-the-start-up/ Last edited by ///M248; 04-14-2018 at 11:14 AM.. |

What options do you have access to if you go this route? The price is in the same ballpark as other known vendors here..?

Updated the links in the OP.
The options are outlined in the ECUWorx website. It can do everything but tune for 93/100 octane and servotronics. For this reason I went with Alex’s service from Apline. Been very happy with the tune so far. Picked up some noticeable torque on the low end. Paired with my WINFKP GTS DCT flash, I can now chirp first and second grear. The servotronics is especially nice, as I always found the stock settings to be overboosted. |

I am also very interested in this. A few of my friends use this for their E46 M3s and love it.
You do not need to buy the $390 tune to use this. ECUWorx sells licenses for their binary modification tool, which gives you basic coding functionality for ~$20 so for a little over $300 you can get a lot of coding capabilities. I believe their DTC suppression also maintains readiness, which is a feature that tuners here do not provide. If anyone else has any info on less expensive cables, please post it up here. I know the E46 guys can get away with $20 cables off eBay and I'm hoping we can find a similar solution. |

Doesn't seem like it has the option for the burble tune like some of the tuners here do either.. Unless I'm looking at the wrong places?
