M3 Oil consumption
Hi guys,
Sorry if this has already been covered but on my search I could only find stuff relating to cars when they were new. With a combination of driving styles between spirited and motorway driving how much oil would you expect to consume over a 2000 mile period? My car has 32000 miles on the clock. Many thanks. |

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not 100% sure where the level was when I took the car on so I will keep a close eye on it and hopefully they just didn't top it up all the way when it was serviced. |

I change my oil every ~5000-ish miles with either Redline or Moly Lube and oil burn is far far less than with the Castrol. In fact, the oil level indicator has barely moved by the time the oil is changed again. I have a little over 16K on mine and I have changed it at the 1200 service and 3 times since.
