That acceleration was crazy, along with the sound and its high revving nature. Must be a blast.

It's for a third bypass/diverter valve.

It probably is, I'm sure they just left it in from the old setup. AA kits run three too.

Drew, you would be surprised but even with that 3rd bypass valve being changed from old Bosch to one of race quality and potential, ICV code easily and constantly appeared when gas pedal was letting off after 270 kmh at 7th gear... Nothing could help to overcome that boost... Only after my tuner made some electronic magic, ICV code went out forever.... And even after 350 kmh all is ok

So with the 3 BPV's you're saying it was over boosting?

I am saying that even with 3 BPV's ICV code appeared after letting gas pedal off at 270+ kmh...

Yes, too much boost

VT3 with 2 BPV's was not able to cause ICV code.

VT4 with 2 BPV's in intake manifold and one race with little filter did that every run after letting gas pedal off at 270+ kmh.

Ultimately, the code was just deleted from ECU's table of codes

Thank you!!!

I would like to think so, but LC is simply impossible on that car: all my runs are made with MDM on, cause shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear with boost climing up to 1,26-1,27 bar is soooo interesting trick which I personally could not control to stabilize the car and not to loose acceleration...

So, MDM only and no LC...

But on that competition we decided to raise idle rmps to 1,500 instead of 800, and that helped a lot in making stable and quality starts on 1/4 mile.

I would have my next 1/4 runs in 3 weeks on very well prepared track with glue. If all is OK and the car performs from power perspective like last week, new trap speed 1/4 WR (and maybe, time also) would appear for sure

I love to see what he has done to this motor. Looks like a lot of hard work and care went into building it and it is incredibly impressive! Well done to all involved

Congrats on pushing the limits with this build!

At the end of your third race, the announcer seemed pretty excited. What was he talking about?

(I love seeing sedans being modded! I have an E90 M3 that is a gutted, caged supercharged (VF620) track car. Everyone---regardless of brand---is always offended when a sedan is doing faster lap times than their coupes! haha! Good luck with your upcoming adventures! Getting into the 9's would be an awesome accomplishment!)

Here's the photos of Sergei's engine build. Select photos posted here and just over 100 photos at Bert's photo site. Higher resolution photos are on Bert's web site.

Sorry there's not many pictures in between engine build and finished engine.

Engine dyno
http://www.rcollins-home.org/photobu....php?album=276

Bert tells me the engine dyno was stronger than I originally thought. One of the dyno charts here has this engine at 473 horsepower, not the 465 I thought. Not bad for a low compression naturally aspirated 4.5L S65 engine.

That's where I think the syvecs with its LC, TC, boost control and TQ management would help greatly before you said you were running 1.1bar of boost does it spoke on the shift 2nd to 3ed?

You are Right
My last DRaG I made my best time in 1/8
60 Ft 1,830
330ft 4,6
1/8. 6,932
Trap 108

Only 9 PSI boost
The Syvecs with Methanol is a perfect combination!
The TC controller during shift is perfect!
