Windshield replacement Seattle

Anybody have a good windshield replacement shop recommendation in the Seattle area? Damn rocks on the highways are crazy lately.

Good experience and a fair price at Car Tech Auto Glass in Edmonds.
Replaced the windshield on the GTI there, but wouldn't hesitate to take my M3 to them as long as they can source an OEM windshield.

Windshield replacement in Seattle

All Star Auto Glass. Had my 2012 335xi windshield replaced there early last year. They can source Pilkington glass. They did a thoroughly clean job.

Oh gawd f that pilkington crap! The OE M3 windshield is by far the worst windshield I've ever had. This is the first car I've owned which got so much as a chip in the glass (i'm 31 so 15 years of driving), and the windshield had 3 chips and a large crack propagating from one before I replaced it...Not to mention the sandblasted look it has acquired. It doesn't even have 50000 miles!

I ended up going with auto glass solutions, and I requested the Sekurit glass instead of the pilk. The guy dropped a wrench into the engine bay and it got cammed into the cross member / fluid lines for a minute and I had to drive the car up on ramps to get it out. Other than that it went well and appears to be sealed nicely.

Care to share the cost to replace the windshield with the Sekurit glass?

I've had Pilkington front windshields in both my current E90 M3 and my E46 ZHP, both great windshields. No worse than the original OEM windshield.

If you talk to many glass installers they will tell you that Pilkington went to shit in the last few years as they transition their production to China...

I too need a new windshield. Original factory glass is Sekurit, I would prefer the genuine OE not OEM. Anyone have any experience having the dealer install? They are on par with the glass shop and offer a 2 year warranty. But I suspect they do not change a lot of glass compared to a glass shop..

Most dealers contract out windshield replacements, at least the labor. Typically get a crew from Safelite or such to come to the dealer shop.
