DCT E92 M3 Violent Jerking When Trying to Put in Drive

Hey guys, So I went to take my M3 out the other day, car ran and drove flawlessly. I have a 2012 E92 M3 DCT ZCP with 48k Miles.

So I got home parked the car, went to go out again about 45 min later, started the car and went to put it in reverse, and the car started jumping back and forth crazy aggressive, truthfully I was scared the trans was going to break. I quickly dropped it into neutral and it stopped. So Then I went to try putting the car into drive and same thing except this time was jerking violently forward.

Shut the car off locked it . Let it sit for 5 minutes and continued to drive flawlessly. I got the car GTS Flashed about a month and a half ago. I've owned the car for 3 months and the first month and a half the car was flawless never happened. Now after the GTS flash, its been happening here or there. I wanna say about 5 or 6 times in the past month and a half.

Anyone Have any thoughts ?

No limp mode or codes came up on the idrive or CEL light nothing. But I have a Schwaben Diagnostic tool from ECS Tuning and got these codes.

Codes:

CF28: Message Error (OBD Data Engine) from the engine control, receiver DKG/EGS, Transmitter DME-DDE/ACC

CF13: Message (Torque 1) Error. Receiver DKG, transmitter DME-DDE

CF1C: Message (Engine Data) error from engine control, receiver DKG/EGS, transmitter DME-DDE/DSC

CF15: Message (Torque 3) Error from engine control, receiver DKG/EGS transmitter DME-DDE/ACC

CF14: Message (Torque 2) error from engine control receiver DKG/EGS transmitter DME-DDE/CAS

By glass mat, you mean the little clear bubble on the battery to show the battery life? Its funny you mention that because shortly after I purchased the car, I left the radio running for just a few minutes and showed low battery discharge or whatever. the car started no issues. But I will definitely look into that battery man. Thank you.

Had the same issue with radio when a first bought mine. Turned out it was a bad cell in the battery. No problems since.

Flash to stock tune and see if it continues. Should not have those faults so I suspect an issue there.

RK tunes? Good luck then because that kid Jordan has caused nothing but endless problems for other M3 owners. I wouldn't bring my car back to him if I were you. Hands down worst customer service imaginable

jordan uses the same off the shelf files 99% of tuners out there use so it seams like you have a personal agenda here,ive had his tune on my car worked flawless used to switch back and fourth between rk and gintani when i was n/a

Last i checked he had the fastest f30/80 m3. No agenda, just the way things went with a few buddies of mine. It's possible he uses an off the shelf tune for the e9x, but he didn't for the e46/e39/335i. Maybe that's why he uses canned tunes now.

Update: Installed a new AGM battery from the dealership, and so far so good. Haven't had any issues or any hiccups so far ! Lets see if it continues

I'm not going to debate you on which car was fastest. You can Google it and see there was a thread about it and he posted the slip time. The reason I have a negative opinion of his work is because his lack to make the situation right after making a mistake. Tuners make mistakes all the time, they're humans. How they go about rectifying the situation sets them apart, in my opinion. Glad the op got it figured out. If you want to talk further pm me in a respectful way and keep the clutter off the boards. Another symptom of the bad cell was the auto stop/start wouldn't work.

Another update been about 3 and a half weeks and it hasnt happened once ! Hopefully the solution was a new battery !!
