I stand corrected, I thought this was the one that had the ID 1050x.

I'm impressed with the top end torque and how it does not drop off as drastically as other stroker dyno like below.

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=849797

i wonder how much of it is attributed to the cams?

it's hard to know as this build has several mods that improve breathing which are not typical at all

-It's the only build with Karbonius intake. The Karbonius is so much bigger than the stock one that if there was any restriction there it's gone now
-Bimmerworld headers. Headers have marginal gains on stock displacement engines that are NA, but on a stroker like this it's likely they are a bigger influence
-Headwork. The stock head is great but the exhaust ports are not fully CNC'd, so there has to be something to gain there
-Finally the cams. Earlier Alekshop got like 24whp just from changing cams to 284s, but their graph still doesn't look good and drops off a lot at high rpms. The 292s avoid that. If they made 304s that accept Vanos I'd consider them as I think there is more to be had, but I'm not willing to lose Vanos to gain hp.

I'm sure Karbonius and Headers really shine on this build. I've always wondered my nobody does head work on these cars especially NA, at least I haven't read about it.

Ah i forgot to list that, the headwork this one has.

It'll be a while until people do builds with just one of those mods to see where the most bang for the buck is

I think people are scared to re-time their motors if they rip off the heads which I don't blame them. Sending S65 heads off to be ported/polished and cam install would be nice to see for stock bottom end guys looking for more NA power.

Timing as a DIY is probably not very simple but I'm sure it's doable. I'm also curious what 292 cams would do on a 4.0L engine

I look forward to getting a dynojet so I can compare in the same graph vs the Alekshop engine and I bet there is no loss of power at low rpms
