Good to hear that it performs well at altitude.

Where do you get your e85 from? I know there are a few places in town but I am unsure about them. Some are places I would not consider for gas normally.

How is your exhaust setup?

This is the most reliable source for finding ethanol I've found so far: https://afdc.energy.gov/stations/#/find/nearest

Do you guys know if it is possible for the car to "forget" the tune because of low battery voltage?

I have the stage 2 Alpine tune, full catless exhaust. I didn't drive the car for about 2 months and the battery was installed in 2014 so it's a bit old. When I started driving it again, at first it indicated battery was low, but those warnings went away as I drove it. Now I'm getting 002789 and 00278A codes for catalyst conversion bank 1 and 2, and a couple other oddball codes, which never appeared before. The car seems more sluggish than it was with the tune, so it seems like the tune is gone. However, the clock is keeping time and all my other Carly customizations seem to have stayed in memory.

Thinking I'll just flash the tune again, but wanted to see if anyone had heard of this.

Thanks!

You can disconnect the battery for 10 years nothing will happen to what's programmed and coded. You might just need to clear the faults.

Interesting. I did a few times and the faults keep coming back. Any ideas?

Sounds like your o2 sensors are toast or not properly connected. You sure you loaded a stage 2 file? Maybe email me rather then going back and forth on a thread

I got a tune from VividRacing on my M3, I’m currently running full E85 with a proflex commander. My M3 is catless primary and secondary, no resonators just the Remus race exhaust, intake and the proflexx commander E85. Would it benefit to do a E85 tune ?

Question:

E85 with the stock fuel system, what about stock exhaust/cats?

you should be fine with the stock cats/exhaust, but at that point its not worth going E85 as the power gains wont be much.

It would be fun to just get a tank or two in, to see what it is like. In the future, I do plan to kick out the primaries but will leave the secondaries in.

If you run full e85 without the commander you would pull more power with our e85 tune.

What sort of HP/torque gain could one expect with this tune on a '12 E9x, fully stock (except for DCT GTS flash) and already on 241E? Running on 91 octane.

Are the 20-25hp/17-21lbs torque gains advertised for this tune inclusive of what's gained by upgrading from an older version such as >180E up to 240/241E (stock/no tune)?

No the gains are based on a 241E car (a car that was already updated.) If you are on an older version you'll have a tad bit more gains.

I am running the following: Turner pulley, Dinan intake, AE Test Pipes, MS Exhaust.

I need a tune asap because i have been running with a CEL since installing the test pipes and Sal previously from ACM is telling me you're the guy.

I would like the updated DCT flash, Euro MDM and a stage 2 tune. Can you PM me a quote on this?

just did my map request last friday, got them saturday morning. great service, very quick response.

got the stage 2 tune, with a few extra goodies and could not be any more happier. until i do E85 that is maybe i should get a 3rd map with 100oct since i am local to a station about >10min away...

but i would 100% recommend anyone who is hesitant!

car feels and pull much harder than it did before.

you shouldn't need to use those at all, if anything i would change the type of oil you use to an oil with higher zinc rating or E85 rated oil.

Alex, what's the best way to get hold of you to schedule coding? I sent you an email and PM last week.

Random question.. I just finished week 2 of the first stage 2 tune. Is it normal to *feel* a slight power bump after running this tune for some time or is this purely in my head? Weather is pretty similar, hot as hell in NC... Humidity is higher, but not sure how that might impact anything. Was thinking it could be adaptations or something to do with the car getting used to the coding. Or it's just nothing and just in my head.

Lastly, should I do anything routinely, such as clearing adaptions or anything to insure the best performance/engine health? Apologies for the potentially dumb questions.
