Hello friends

So after debating between e46...e92...f8x (trust me the toughest decision I have to make) finally decided to look for a gently used e92. I am never gng to take it to track so just looking for a nice reliable everyday ride...I found this

2012 E92 M3
22xxxx miles
AW w/ext red leather
COMPETITION PKG,
PREMIUM PKG,
TECH PKG,
CF ROOF,
PERFORMANCE EXHAUST,
DTC
Black wheels
Asking 52k
Warranty till June 2016

What do you guys think about this deal?

I am not in the market for a car very often so really don't know how to rate this deal...

Appreciate your response....

TY

I think you have too many X's in your mileage estimate.
Do you have a listing which shows the car?

I purchased a fairly loaded(no nav/idrive but everything else like comfort access/premium package and extended leather) 2012 with 24,xxx miles about 3-4 months ago for about $50,000. That exhaust isn't cheap to add so I think that's a very good price as long as there are no issues on the accident report. You got 2 full years left on the warranty which is very important for peace of mind when buying a car you know was bought to be driven.

If the dealer is EAB, then it may be the car you're looking at was in an accident. You may want to ask for the CARFAX to see if there is more background info. Accidents, of course, have a strong influence on the price of a car.

What's worse is it doesn't have heated seats!

I suggest you look at 2011's, too. Lease returns happening now and more 2011 inventory because of that. Also recommend you look out of area, maybe even US wide.

For what it's worth, I would pass on any car that's been in an accident...small or big. A small accident (got backed into, caused repaint of read bumper and part of quarter panel...$1800 damage) made me get rid of my last M3. Also be sure to go over all of the car as my M3 didn't have the accident on it's Carfax when I traded it in...even though I told the dealer about it.

+1 for looking at 2011 M3s...you can get one that is CPO for the price you were to going to pay. CPO cars have a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty too! Good luck and let us know what you get!

Small accidents like this that show up on CARFAX mean nothing. As long as there has been no structural damage and it's only cosmetic, there's no difference except the one made up in your mind.
