Fingernail scratches behind door handle

Has anyone had any success dealing with these? If so what did you do?

Door cup clear bra coverage prevents such damage.

You can try to polish by hand or use a glaze product to try to hide them. If it's too hard to get too even by hand, you could remove the door handle and machine polish. Good luck.

This. Going to take awhile but easier than pulling off the handle as I would imagine this would require taking apart the door from the inside.

Use your favorite compound/polish with the orange side of that. It'll take some work, but it will get the job done. Then a finishing polish with the black side and lastly, wax.

I've tested this on a red Mini with serious scratches behind door handle .
And I can tell you ..."It's a kind of magic" (and not the song from Queen )
Works just amazing...

This. I cleaned up the area with that, waxed it and now it looks great.

you don't need to take apart the door from the inside to remove the handle. It's actually pretty easy to remove the door handle. If you have CA, there is a wire attach to the handle. Just don't drop the wire once the handle is off.

I'd imagine they can't be deep scratches so like others have mention some rubbing compound would work then yes, I'd absolutely put a piece of clear bra in there so I wouldn't have to do it again.

Hopefully they are fingernail scratches, not from a ring. Incidentally, I just picked up a 2012 that has the door cups clear bra'd.

As far as I tell can most of your responses are either videos, or links to other threads.

Don't be hurt, it's just an accurate observation.
Accurate observation ?.....Seems you are everywhere on here....Paranoia ?
Guys...think we have a new "Longwong" ! And that's no link or video !!!

you know that english isnt his first language. So there should be some slack here. and I am truly certain that you know his intentions are just, and simply trying to contribute to the forum. Some of us take it for granted but I am sure you have run into a thread where you were trying to get info for whatever reason and found out it was lacking and didnt help you at all.

OP clean the handle and use a compound by hand. wax it and seal it. if you want to use clear bra, go ahead, but its not necessary.

His so I .. I'm not the subject of this thread, the scratches are !
No need to defend me ,i'm more than able to handle this , but I think you know that !
I've stopped some serious discussions on here when seeing people saying bad things to each other ,and actually you are doing the same thing .
So it's nice to see that you are a good person !

And chicks think I'm being such a gentleman by opening the passenger door for them. Little do they know I do it so their damn nails can't scratch the paint, haha! I also had the Expel Stealth applied to prevent such damage.
