Before and after AA/Dinan Dyno results
Dinan Exhaust / AA Xpipe, Software, & Pulley
AFE Filter Gained 13whp and 15 Torque best run vs best run I dint expect a huge gain, but is something wrong? it was much cooler weather for the baseline dyno could that be why the numbers seem a little low? |

Hmm. Your stock pulls look normal, and your modded pulls have a real nice looking air fuel curve. I don't know what is wrong, but I would have thought you would have made more power as well.

I think the car was just hot was about 45min/hour drive and soon as I got there they put it on the dyno. Baseline was 66F degrees and 2nd dyno with mods shop temp was 79F, not huge but it will help me sleep at night . |

Yeah that might affect your intake air temps, but the SAE correction attempts to correct differences in air temps.

Dyno's are completely worthless at times. What concerns is me is the fact that you didn't feel a difference after install. I noticed a big difference after my AA flash, and a nice difference after the Rogue pulley install as well. Have you contacted AA yet?

I do feel a difference at low rpms, there is definitely more power there but other than that im not to sure might head out to the 1/4mile track today and try to improve on a 13.2 that I ran last year |

From what I have seen, this engine is very sensitive to heat. I have seen 1/4 mile results of these cars constantly running 2-3 mph faster at 56-57 degrees compared to mid-high 70's. 2 or 3 mph of trap speed is about 20-30 hp. So, what you are reporting sounds about normal to me. This is also something I have noticed when driving my car at different temperatures. It just seems sensitive.
I'd recommend putting it on the dyno again with similar temps/cool down times. That is the only way to get an accurate comparison.

The ECU no doubt will have ignition and/or fuel correction maps based upon intake temperature - the higher the temperature, the more advance that is taken away and/or the richer the car runs. This is why it's best to to comparative dynos around the same temperature if you can, so you are comparing apples with apples. Sure SAE correction accommodates air temp, humidity and pressure changes but if the car is subtracting a couple of degrees of ignition timing, you will obviously lose power.
The other thing is to try and get your coolant temps and oil temps the same for before and after runs, as there likely will also be ignition correction maps based upon theses temperatures. |

No he is saying if the knock sensor senses knock due to high temps IT will tell the ECU to pull timing.

The time was good for street tires (in line with what the mags see) but the trap is a bit off. What was the temp?
