The difference is ZCP is an option package...

This US Limited Edition M3 is really nothing special, we could have it here in EU if to go by BMW Individual, but it is not worth as there are better combos.
We do have BMW Individual here for the M3, it is just not that known for both dealers and customers.

For me, Individual is the only way to roll.

BMW individual in US is still not as good as "Edition" models from Canada or Europe.

If I were them I would use racing seats instead of normal ones, use M style stitching on the side of the seats. I wouldn't limit the color option with only frozen gray. Rear and front CF diffusers wouldn't sound bad either. Finally they should make subtle changes on the front dash such as the looks of the speedometer and a distinct gear stick design etc.. or make a csl out of it like e46 lol

The worst part about it is that it will be pricey for what you get, an M3 ZCP, add an extra 5k for the color and probably another 2k for the interior and you have a bloated 7k pricetag on an M3 ZCP.

I'm sad to admit that Pontiac looks a lot better than the M3. Just an insert on one little panel on the M3 was retarded. White stitching with white gauges would have been better IMO, as well as more distinctive.

I really hope they do something for the 2012 model. I have to buy something in about 10 months and I hope it is an M3. Just right now the decision is hard based on what other manufacturers are offering...

BMW, you are missing the mark on this one.

How about a real exclusive edition like a true track ready package. (available in the US)

Maybe I am wrong, highly likely, but don't the edition models get the option of custom exterior, interior and the multicolor stitching as well. I think there were some other options in there?

U.S. we only get the option of exterior color and interior color. In addition, according to many members, getting these options properly executed int he U.S. is a PITA.

You're right. While Europe gets a free run on whatever color combos BMW has, in the US you have to try try try again, just to find a dealer who knows the whole process and even then its hit and miss.

While in Germany, I was told BMW makes it harder for us to get Individual options due to our laws allowing us to order a vehicle, but if we decide to not take delivery, being allowed to simply walk away free and clear.

Edition M3: http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...edition-models

Individual: whatever combo you want as long as it is legal in the USA and BMW approves it.

You have guys in this forum that fight for a week at the dealer to get their M3 for $500 over invoice but Individual is a PITA? Give me a freaking break...

I tried for 2010 limited edition but I never got enough details as I suspect they did not come to US. Looking for this 2011.

The color isn't a big deal. It's already in the palette and anyone but those buying as part of the military/diplomat program can order it at any time.
