Rotora Front 8 Pot Calipers 405 x 36mm BBK - refurbished

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Rotora 8-Piston Front Big Brake Kit (BBK) Model No. RF801 with 405 x 36mm (16 inch) 2-piece disc brake system (drilled and slotted) with brackets specifically designed for 20 inch BMW E9X M3 (5 x 120 bolt pattern). The existing pads are 13mm thick which is about 50 percent of new. This sale includes the required mounting bolts (see pictures).

This system retails for $4,295 but you can get this refurbished system for a reduced cost of $1,295. I can ship this but it will require two double boxes due to their weight. Buyer pays PayPal fees (3.5%) and UPS ground shipping (90 lbs) from zip 27284. Or if you are local, PM me and we can set up a meeting for you to view or pickup.

I have been told by Rotora Technical Support (Loren, 626-813-7900 (ext. 115)), that this system should fit any 20 to 22 inch BMW OEM such as X3, X5, or X6 in addition to the E9X M3. Rotora has informed me that they have spare parts for this model should the new buyer every require them and that they have brackets for the X3, X5, and X6 (no other hardware is required if you are fitting it to an E9X M3 equipped with 20 inch wheels).

Note that these calipers can be easily repainted to any other color that you may require. I recommend either the G2 brush-on system or the Dupli-ColorPro spray. I will include four extra M Power stickers (black) with the sale.

And according to Rotora, they can take this system as a trade-in on any of their other systems as found on www.rotora.com

To those who have all asked, no track time as these were only used for aesthetic purposes by the previous owner. I had them removed when I fist purchased the E92 M3 and replaced thwm with new OEM rotors, calipers, and ceramic pads for a more "dustless" result.

They won't fit a 19" rim?

I don't believe that the 16" rotors will clear a 19" rim

Hmm Interested in purchasing these if they can be fitted on a 2017 Xdrive35i X5. OP I'll give Rotora a ring to find out the additional cost for fitment. BTW, I'm in Spring Lake. I see you're in Greensboro.

Yes, please give Loren a ring on the fit issue with your 2017 Xdrive35i X5. Another guy on here wanted to fit them to his 2013 X6M and Rotora indicated that he just needed the correct vehicle specific mounting brackets (although they said he also needed new hats (these rotors with their 5x120 bolt pattern will fit fine) and their stainless steel brake lines). Perhaps you will be in the same boat?
