Im not sure how many professional photographers were there. But damn seems like point & shoot camera days are gone. Everyone was carrying dslr.

that's cause everyone thinks, "ooohhh if i have a DSLR with a big lens, i'm a photographer" hahaha

back in the day, to have a larger sized camera meant you got tons of respect around models and other photographers. now, it's like, if you don't have one, you're not cool hahaha. lame!

Sometimes I wish my Leica was a P&S. It would make things a lot easier lol. It is completely manual. I need to adjust every aspect by hand before each shot. It's tough sometimes, but fun.

GXR? i was looking at the CX4... i don't think there's any specific advantage of the CX5 > CX4 right? looks like same specs.

I don't know anything about the CX4 or CX5, sorry. I think the GRD III and GRD IV are good choices, though. The GXR is a cool camera. I like the concept.

I'm actually looking for a GR1v. It's pretty old, from 1999 I think, but it's arguably one of the best P&S ever. They are hard to find since they have somewhat of a cult following in Japan.

Check out Terry Richardson (google/youtube), he is a professional photographer who uses/d Kodak disposable cameras on photos displayed in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition....

I guess its sort of like tracking....The car doesn't make the track-star the driver does....
