Added this eventuri carbon fiber plenum to the sound from the M performance exhaust. Love the added duality of the on-throttle growl.
A tribute to the CSL!

What do you mean? The clock spring is responsible for allowing the steering wheel to turn without ripping all the wiring connections going from the steering wheel down to the steering switch unit.

The clock spring contains a spool of ribbon cable inside it that connects the buttons and switches on ur steering wheel to the connection plugs on the switch unit.

This is why you always hear people say to make sure you have the wheels centered and the clock spring centered before installing a new one because if the clock spring is over rotated, when you turn the steering wheel, the ribbon cable inside can rip apart and you can loose all your steering wheel buttons and switches plus airbag functionality.

In my case, the connections for the paddle shifters must have worn out or corroded on the ribbon cable and replacing the clock spring made them work again.

Switched from LiquiMoly 10W-60 yesterday to find out that the last lube tech stripped my oil pan. Hopefully warranty will cover it and I can use it as an excuse to do RBs.

On Mobil 1 5W-50 now, and I’ve seen an immediate increase in MPG (2-4mpg) and the engine legitimately revs more freely. I always thought it was placebo when I read a post claiming differences in oil, but it’s drastic.

LM 10W-60 is like syrup compared to this.

4 hour drive back from Richmond to NC. Drove up there Friday morning. Longest drive yet and it's quite the perfect highway cruiser. Rock solid and perfectly straight. Worth the 2 tanks of gas indeed.

You set your new wash mitt and microfiber towels on the ground and now all I can see are the future swirl marks in your paint...

The guy that was selling it all did that for the pics. Was really after the other things, but it was a package deal.

Brand new. My stock wheel was starting to show its age so decided it was time for an upgrade. This one was custom made with perforated leather, rounded flat bottom, leather center trim, and more aggressive 10-2 grips.

Also, seemed like my glass towels weren't getting "stuck" on the glass, they smoothly glided across it.

Like I said, I won't know what it looks like until tomorrow morning in the sun, but at least the compressed can made it easier to potentially look like an idiot later.
...and? Whats the update? How well did the new bottle help you with smearing stuff on the glass?

So I'm going to say this, then the next time I do it it will look like shit, but....

It was really good. No streaks on the outside. On the inside, had a spot I must have missed on the passenger side.

Overall, I am going to recommend if your a "glass cleaning idiot" like me, to try a can instead of the spray bottle.

Of course later that day I had a like 1 minute drizzle while I was driving home from cars and coffee and completely ruined the glass, but its life.

The only way to make it rain is to wash your vehicle. Everyone knows this. Makes me wonder why drought afflicted areas have car washing restrictions.

Box of parts arrived from ECS. Performed our version of a BMW 7yr/70K mile tune up. Oil change, power steering flush with new reservoir, coolant flush, new CSF aluminum radiator & and expansion tank (fear of plastic broken necks like on all E36s), new coolant hoses, tensioners, pulleys and belts as well as all hoses on front of engine. Ready to hit the road again!

Edit: Also installed an Mporium aluminum under tray. No more felt to break!

Replaced the OBD-II port that I broke by kicking it with the Carly plugged in. Many foul words were uttered as the cheap pin release tool I used did not work very well.

Note to self: cheap tools are cheap for a reason...

Port works fine and my OCD and is happy.

Never again will I leave the Carly plugged in like that. Lesson learned.

I don’t want to make another thread about this damn electronic dipstick, but I drained my oil for a full hour, then added ~9 quarts. Gave me middle level oil, so I added maybe another 250-400ml and now it’s a tick above the upper arrow and says “OIL MAX” when checking the level but does not produce an alert or chime. Do I drain it or let it burn off?

Is it true that the car will alert you / give a warning if the overfill is severe? I can’t imagine that this amount raised the level more than a few mm given how large this pan is.

The sensors are dumb. I would not worry about 9.5 quarts. 8.8l is about 9.3 quarts.
