Pic Request/Help: Vorsteiner Trunk
whatsup guys, I'm looking to complete the car with a Vorsteiner CSL-type Trunk - my car is alpine white, and I already have the front Vorsteiner lip and the Vorsteiner type II rear diffuser, with BBS rims....I know I want the trunk, but the only thing holding me off is the decision between what to do with the color scheme.
Its a toss up between the following three: 1) Leave it all white 2) White with the CF fade on the lip 3) White with the CF (non-fade) on the lip Heres a pic of my car to give you guys an idea: Thanks for the feedback guys... |

Dont get a Vorsteiner trunk just because your other components are Vorsteiner. That trunk was designed by BMW (CSL) for the E46 which had a rounder, more chunky body. Vorsteiner made replicas of the CSL trunk for the US since you could not get the CSL trunk. In my opinion, the curved trunk does not fit the E92 in any way at all. Vorsteiner did not even attempt to modify the design. The E92 design is so much different than the E46. It has flatter surfaces, sharper edges, straighter lines... All of which are not complimented by a big curved trunk that was NOT designed with an E92 in mind. Sorry, just my 2 cents.
BTW your car looks really good. Are those LMs? If yes can you post a few more pics?

I'd go all white.
go with what you like, but if it were me, I'd get either the Ericson style trunk or the Challenge. they complement the lines of the e92 much better. |

so hard to decide between the three paint schemes......
...for some reason I feel like in that picture posted by Bart the fade looks too narrow, maybe its just the angle....but in the pics posted in the above post it looks just perfect.........hm.. yeah I also like the challenge trunk too! too many options...really impossible to make up my mind |
