Another 1 Down!

So I was on my way from Fairfield Inn in Millville to NJMP yesterday morning for day 2 of the NJBMWCCA road coarse event. On the road that the entrance to the track is I was stopped behind an older lady in a Saturn waiting for deer to cross the road when I look in my rear view and see a white Accord about to slam into me. I was hit so hard my car ended up 20' - 30' past the car I was behind I ended up out of the car on the street with no shoes on. Here is 2 pictures of my car. Sorry about the size of the pictures.

I'm glad you made it out ok. How'd you end up out of the car? What kind of injuries did you have?

This is the kind of stuff that scares me. Obviously a lot of other people don't care at all about their cars/lives and they make the rest of us all nervous and anxious all the time, lol...

Glad you're ok though...

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I am ok just a little banged up and so sore I can barely move. I guess from the force of the impact my shoes came off of my feet. And I dove out of the car while it still moving from the force of the impact. All the powder and smoke and smell from the airbags going off it just smells like fire. Also I had friend who hit a tree and his truck caught fire and killed him inside so. I really hope they total it no way I want it fixed.

hope you don't have whip-lash from the force of the impact. If your neck is feeling really sore, or hurting really bad after a week or so, thats a bad sign.

Glad to see you are okay, what can you tell us about the individual that hit you? was it a male or female how old and what was his / her excuse if any? I am wondering if he / she was texing or on the phone?

did this happen after a curve? no time to react?

I always hit the hazard lights as a first if I know I have to come to a full stop or have to slow down due to some emergency ahead... if I can I pull over out off the line of fire so to speak ... was there no chance for you to do the same or did it all happened too fast?

Sharing this with others here will help perhaps someone ...

The road is perfectly straight for a mile or 2. It was 8:30am and clear dry conditions. The 3 cars (Saturn, me and Accord) were the cars on the road in either direction. Me and the Saturn were at a complete stop while we waited for deer to cross the road. The driver of the white Accord (a middle aged female) apparently spilled coffee and was cleaning it up or something and never saw us (me and the Saturn) stopped and just slammed into the back of me. Pushing me into and then around the Saturn. The Accord was probably traveling 45-60mph at time of impact. No attempt to stop or slow down on her part from what I understand so far. Once I get the police report I will know more. I am pretty good about watching in my rear view when stopping for any reason on the road (stop sign, red light, wildlife etc) she was just coming way too fast by the time i saw I was about to be hit for me to try and move out of the way.

Spilled coffee? If there are any German's reading this-this validates your reason to not have any coffee holders in your cars! See how American's can muck things up?

Its either texting/coffee these days
