Plug n' play, really? A while ago when I was doing research (here), I was told that it's a full tear down and rewire to convert from premium sound to logic 7. Something about having to run a MOST fiber optic cable or something.

Or am I getting my wires crossed...

I think all M3 E9X came with fiber optic amplifier. The L7 and the premium, which is slightly better than the L7.
