ABS/Wheel speed sensor connector help

What's the trick to getting the crumbling connector apart in one piece for the ABS / Wheel sensors?
I have a 005DC3 code which points to the right rear from what I can see. I was looking for tips as I know the brake pad sensor connectors won't come apart on this car and I'm sure these are just as bad or worse as they are original on an 09.
I don't feel like splicing a new socket into the harness so I was hoping someone had some tips or tricks.

All done. The connector actually released without any issue. The plastic is a much better material than the pad sensor connector. Wish they both were this good.
Good news is I don't need a new wheel bearing (yet).
ABS fault is gone.
DSC fault is gone and works properly after trying to throw the rear around a few corners.
Uphill assist if fixed.
Cruise control works.
I didn't even have to clear the error. It reset after about 20 feet of driving.
So for anyone with my above error code and issues, I would start with the sensor first.
