6FL Retrofit and Ipod Holder

I jsut got 6FL retrofit and its fantastic compared to the Ipod kit that was in the glove box. The USB connection is so much faster and better. However, I was wondering if anyone can help me regarding the installation of the Multimedia Holder for the ipod that goes under the cover of the middle armrest. The Holder comes with 3 screws, but I cant seem to find where to screw them into underneath the middle arm rest. Thks!

Can you please provide more details? WHat is the retrofit part/kit called? I want to get this badly on my 2007 E90. Is this possible only with the newer model year vehicles like your M3?

Unless this is a brand/spanking new retrofit, the 6FL retrofit is available only for Business and not for Professional HU/iDrive, which all the USA 3 Series have as standard.

It should be compatible with the professional series as well. Its just called 6FL retrofit Kit which has the USB connection for your Ipod and charges it as well inside the center armrest.

Yes, that's the 6FL factory-installed option, not a retrofit.

Is there any aftermarket iPod adapter that will let you search:
Artist>Album>Song on a non-iDrive car?

My only problem with all these adapters is I can't choose Album, which sucks when you have 10 albums by some artists and well over 100 songs by them.

mine is business. but im sure professional can be done as well. and also according to the attachment earlier, it is also available for non i drive cars

Of course your unit is Business and no, it cannot be installed in a Professional HU/iDrive as there is no official, OEM USB retrofit for Professional radios yet. And your attachment is not appropriate here, as we are talking about a retrofit and not a factory installed option, right?

Place the holder where you want it under the armrest and just make three holes (the photo is from a 135i armrest, but the idea is the same)...
