E9X will be the history of BMW in a week :( [update: production ends June]
BMW will officially stop the production and retire the E92 (both M and non-M) next week!!!! NEXT WEEK!!!! I can't believe it's been 8 years!
I only have one more week to decide whether to order a BMW V8! This might be the very last NA car BMW makes!! Should I get the M3 or just stay normal and wait for the 435i? Revision: GUYS! I got it! What my dealer told me is that BMW wont take any more orders of E92!!!! Not stopping production!!! So talk to your sales soon if you still want one!!! props to enigma01

I don't get the timing. Production will stop next week but you still have a week to order? Doesn't work that way... If production is indeed stopping next week (which I doubt based on other reports) then you will not be able to order one. Might be able to find something in dealer inventory.

Now that I might believe! Not that many production slots left and folks have been snatching them up....

I am a little surprised as well, as e46 M3 didn't end until 2006. But he said its the production, so M3 will still be available for sale, but BMW will stop taking orders next week (not ending the production, SORRY). He said even if I order NOWNOWNOW I might not even be able to make it, unless I get what they have reserved.

You went from "dealer has no more allocations" to "BMW is stopping production." The two are not related. The E92 is scheduled to cease production in June this year. The e93 will cease production a few months later. Go here: http://www.bmwdavid.com/ if you want one and you'll also get the straight word. Oh, and avoid all the headaches - get a E92. |

Wait the E92 has been around for 8 years? Wasn't the first model year a 2008?
And it is kind of odd they are stopping production now if the M4 isn't coming out until 2015

Only 7 for e92. And I think the last batch MIGHT be sold as 2014 model. If you go back and look. There was a discontinued period of M3s between the e46 and e9x. Regardless, BMW doesn't really have a set and solid schedule (timeline) they follow.

Fact 1 - there will be no 2014 e92/e93 period. Fact 2 - end of production for e92 is June and e93 September. Your dealer is full of it if he/she is telling you BMW is stopping e92/e93 production this week. Fact 3 - BMW DOES have a set and solid schedule they follow. That's why they put SOP (start of production) and EOP (end of production) dates for each model and model year. |
