It should be the same as a car with nav. Don't see why it would be different, in which case, the answer you're looking for has been posted numerous times before - and is in the owner's manual.

I know my car has this feature and it sounds really cool. The problem is I cant imagine where I would use it. I keep picturing myself at a stoplight next to some other yoyo, going through my LC sequence, screwing it up and asking said yoyo to wait for 1 sec until my little flag pops up. Probably end up launch controling by myself on an empty country road.......BTW OP, the search thing is handy here. In fact if you search you'll find other entertaining threads from people who posted the same question....without the searching. There is a PERFECT graphic someone made that explains it.

you should only be doing this on a Track to my opinion and I think that if you do it too many time it will be called abusive driving by BMW and they will void your warranty.

Why can't BMW think like Porsche where it's 1.)Turn on Sport Chrono(push button), 2.)Mash brake. 3.)Mash throttle. 4.)Let go of brake. |

It's not complicated. I can activate it almost instantly...
1. Power on 2. DSC off 3. S6 shifting mode 4. Stick held forward 5. Floor it! (and release stick to launch) If you don't get the flag, you either used it too recently or you're not past the break-in period.

Are you holding the stick forward? Something's up - with LC activated it should rev between 5 and 6K. Make sure you're holding the stick forward when you floor it. If you can't get it to work bring it to LA and I'll fix it

I know, but dealing with these cars day to day makes it less confusing. It's much easier to just mash brake and mash the throttle then just let go of the brake. My opinion of course.

I agree with you that the Porsche system is a bit more user-friendly.
