Supposedly it is interlagos without the shiny metalic topcoat. It stands up to some reason: interlagos actually looks just like this at twilight or near dawn.

Uli was talking about the E90 though (since the M3 Evo is an E90), which stops end of 2011 (or beginning of 2012). It is the E92/E93 that will go until one year later.

Yeap, this car won't be available in the US, but BMW NA is looking into the parts used and check if they can offer some of them.

And two new details are revealed ... alcantara steering wheel and GTS exhaust ... but the car ist only an prototype. that shows only known parts from the GTS ... the car continue to hide its secrets ... the rest interior ist standard M3 and because all bodyparts are painted the intense of usage from carbon bodyparts are not visible ... until somebody knocks on bonnet, roof, trunk and door to hear if its plastic or metal.

I don´t also think for example that the production car would have the double hump dash with iDrive/Nav ... because of weightreduction reason ... I think A/C and Radio are the only electronical comfort intims ... also the production car would have to 100% some more sportier and lighter seats - if they come with alcantara or leather (as on the shown examples!) ... we have to wait and see.

Nice speculation on EVO facts from an member of an german forum:

EVO weighs 1550kg, has 440HP, with sprints from 0-100 in 4.6 seconds manual switched, has 300kmh top speed, 0-200 in just under 15 seconds, NOS in 7:45 with Michelin Pilot SuperSport

The only thing I don´t beleave ist that the EVO gets an manuel gearbox ... only M-DKG seems more likely.

Congrats on the car Nugs181. If I were you I'd go and drive all your usual routes. It will give you a feel for the car as you trundle through Break-in. Which is ~2000km (1200 miles).

The pics show those seats are wrapped in speed cloth. Those brakes look purposeful and mind-boggling. I am sure they will cost a packet as an add-on.

Isn't nice that when BMW makes track oriented versions of the M3, clearly targeting people who actually care about performance, they always choose the 6MT transmission, sometimes without even offering DCT as an option (i.e, M3 GTS)? I am pretty sure the DCT crowd will say this and that, but it looks like we have a clear winner here. 6MT FTW!!!!!!!

Maybe they just installed it to test w spoiler vs. w/o spoiler?

If they couldn't wait till betalink to dry, taping would be good option to test the car w spoiler before glue to dry.

..It just dawned on me .. would this be considered a "production" M3 sedan? I believe that the Cadillac CTS-V has the NBR record for a 4 door sedan at present...
