Too many for sale threads - we need some topics. What's everyone doing with their M3s for winter this year? Winter tires? When to mount them? Storing the car? Take it out on dry days? Put it up for sale?

My old M3 I went winter tires with PA4 square 18" 245s and didn't really like it aesthetically as well as tread width was too narrow. This time I'm sticking with the PA4 because it is seriously awesome, but going 19" GTS sizes.

My M3 is a year round daily driver on summer tires!

But I only average 5K miles a year as I commute on a bus and/or work from home. Any signs of inclement weather and I don't drive it, or take the X5.

I’m going with Michelin AS3 up front and Blizzak in back 255/275 this time. I went with AS3 up front cuz I got a front set brand new for $63ea. It’s not like I go nuts with the M3 in the winter so figured I’d try to mix

Huh. Mixing A/S and winter sounds like a bad idea to me. You are going to have two pretty drastically different levels of grip front to rear in all conditions. But hey do what ya gotta do.

Still have a few parts laying around that I'll try and install over Christmas break.

AS SSK
UCP
BMW alarm
Trans fluid change
Aluminum undertray
Grocery getter hooks (is it sad I'm excited about these?)

And... karbonius cf plenum!

I’m def expecting the ride to be different. But for $63 per tire hard to pass up. Also I expect it to be similar to driving on 80% fronts and 20% rears or GTS sizes with dying rear tires.

Seriously though, i will probably continue using the summer tires (PS4S) as long as i can because it does much better job at evacuating water than all season/winter tires; have a set of those too. I have learned to accept that the m3 is not going to have much grip during winter season, but it is no worse than 80% of the other cars on the road. Just be easy on the throttle, brakes, and be alert of other drivers.

Driving on old/worn PSS tires last winter was pretty sketchy.
Didn't want to buy another set of wheels or keep swapping tires twice a year, so went with DWS06 all-seasons. Will see how they fare this winter.
I am actually impressed with these tires in terms of warm/dry handling. Somewhat soft sidewall, but impressive grip.
