Whats this E90 M3 worth?

What do you think this E90 M3 is worth in current market? Seems to be a lot of M3's for sale which simply don't sell.

https://www.carsales.com.au/private/...-5778920/?Cr=2

Thanks

If not for having an e92 already, I would jump on this at a firm sub 60 1st offer with mods..
condition looks great, manual, decent mileage which indicates the juices have been circulating and not stagnant for weeks on end... and dare I say I'm a big fan of a sunroof too...

Ditto from me too.
Looks like a nice car with right combination of specs, mods and miles.
Prefer DCT and my Intelagos Blue myself, but that grey is a definite 2nd choice.

69k is low km in my book eg an average of 150km a week. Bigger all. Geeze is a 100k km car is a POS suppose based on 69k being decent. Not confusing miles with km are we.?

If you are serious negotiate hard with a fist full of dollars. Thatd retail price as I see it and I always try to buy wholesale. I'd start at 50 and get told to go jump but you have my number and room for some negotiation at that offer subject to a ppi. As you said there not selling . Dont forget these cars are way better with some tweaking so need so extra cash on top of your on roads.

Rod bearings and throttle actuators haven't been done. Has a couple cosmetic panel imperfections. I think it's a $5x,000 car.

It’s substantially overpriced in this market. The kms are pretty good, and the manual isn’t particularly common, but that seller is hanging a significant premium on those two things. Otherwise grey on black with the silver trim is pretty plain.

As others have mentioned, the big ticket preventative maintenance items haven’t been done either, so if you’re a “better safe than sorry” kind of person the bearings are a $3k job.

Put it this way, I bought my 2011 with 95k from a dealer, also two owner with full history, for a hell of a lot less. I don’t have comp package (just the 220m 19s), but have HK, sunroof, carbon leather, EDC, heated seats and rear blind.

I drove a bunch of cars between 70k and 120k when searching for mine, all had good serviced histories and felt just as good as each other. You’re better to get something with a few extra kms that the interior/exterior colour combo you want in the condition you want.

Yeah it looks nice, but prefer the update nav in the later models and Competition package

Yeah I know. A mate when to see it for me but I wasn't over keen on it as it needed the front bumper, bonnet and 2 doors painted.

Hi,
Looks like there are approx. 26 M3 below $45000 on Carsales at the moment. (E90, E92 and E93 added up). A few have very high km without costing less than the others.

I guy came up to me outside the supermarket to chat when he saw my car last week, and said he just sold his 2011 E90 M3 with under 100k for as little a $37.000. He had it advertised for over 3 weeks with no serious buyers contacting him. He is relocating back to UK, so he sold it for cash only with no trade in. And it was a private sale so obviously no warranty. So bargain deals pop up now and then.

There are approx. 55 M3 listed on carsales between $50.000 and $70.000.

Then there are also 14 cars listed for sale above $70.000. Most of them the year 2011, 2012, and with very low km.

Cheers,

What would be considered low kms for a 2011 E92 M3?
Mine has 65,000 kms.
I paid $55,000 for it.
DCT, Competition Package, Carbon roof, Alpine White,

Hi,
Yours have done under 10K per year. That is low. Obviously it has not been a daily driver for some of the years, or been in a family with 2 cars.

A few of the most expensive M3's that I found on Carsales had done only approx. 25Ks. That's more like a Sunday only car. Not sure if I would spend double of a cheap M3 to get one of the very low K's ones.

I just searched for other euro performance cars. Currently there are 40 of the MB AMG C63 listed for sale under $45000. (starting at $32.000).

There are 9 Audi RS4 listed for under $45000, (starting at $29000 for a year 2007).

Clearly prices for all these performance cars have depreciated quite a lot with age, and introduction of newer models.

I also did one general search on Carsales. There are currently 832 cars listed in Australia which has over 300kW, and cost between $30.000 and $45.000. That numer includes the 3 models mentioned above, and it also includes some HSV and FPV models, plus a very few C300 SRT.

Cheers,

Mate where are the stage 3 audi b5 s4's and your talking 300kw at the wheels righ that blows away all the cars you mentioned but not as refined behind the wheel but then what do you expect for a 1/3 of the price.

Sorry guys, I only tried to show where the general market depreciation has taken the value of an 8 to 10 year old 'performance' car such as M3, C63 and RS4.
I used the flywheel kw from factory search criteria in Carsales, so I didn't look at which one is fastest or most refined.

All these used to sell new for about $140k to $180k to the first owner 8 to 10 years ago. If some of the advertised selling prices are roughly a third now, that is an average depreciation of roughly $10k per year over the time period.

I think the E9x M3 could be a bit like the older 911 Porsche, it will come down to a low, then it may stay flat, or even increase again when people realize they can't get similar cool cars new anymore.
Cheers,

Got to admit I was tempted by similarly aged (or slightly newer) E63 AMGs when I was shopping, similar money.

One thing a aircooled 911 cant provide a dct e9X can is that rev matched downshift blip magical engine note that lso is note ain't coming through the speaker system.
Good bang for buck at circa 40k with a tune and exhaust.

About 4 -5 years ag, 40k got you the keys to a reasonable aircooled, different market but and also impacted by overseas prices. But any day you can buy a toy, enjoy it actually drive it and flog it off later and it hasn't cost you anything is a good day. Something to say about driving the last of the analogue cars , but not selling. Eg too much time invested in finding the last of the 2x factory stock 420 hp analogue cars (e90 m3 and 911tt) and tweaking them how I want them setup. Dont see many of either on the road. Not all e9x's or 911's are alike when your fishing at the bottom end of asking price ranges.
