Is the m3 a chick magnet or a dick magnet?

In the year I've owned my m3 I have determined that it is more of a dick magnet. Girls just think it's a BMW and seldom know what an M3 is. Like I said in the "You know you own an e9x m3 when..." thread:
Quote:
"Guys can't wait to get in your car, and girls can't wait to get out."
I have fun driving my car no matter who is riding shotgun. Guy friends welcome second gear on-ramp pulls and casually sliding around city blocks. I have tried this with girls and it is instantly obvious that I am the only one having fun. They sit there petrified, gripping any handle they can find probably thinking what a crazy asshole I am. Oh well.

Anyone have similar experiences?

Rolling off the other thread OP

I think the M3 invites agressiveness from dudes always wanting to race or talk shit..but when you pull up to meet a girl in one..there is always that "look"..like yeeeaah boy.

Had a girl bartender outside a bar one day and she even said something like wow thats like a $70K car..so I call BS...girls can tell its not just a regular 3er.

For me its a wash

I say it's a toss up, I get both in an average day. I learned to deal with both, but what really annoys me are the ones that tries to run you down when you are driving 60 mph and they hard cut you, seriously!

Seems to attract guys more than anything. Girls aren't too impressed, but i have the sedan...my wife even calls my car 'overrated' after she drives it... One consolation is that the kids love riding in it!

I have had a few compliments from girls more so than in my 335.

I have had a couple guys wanting to race and being pretty aggressive about it. I'm not going to race at noon on a work day in traffic by the mall, but that doesn't make a jetta faster than an M3.

surprisingly, chicks do know what a M3 is. I've tried to play off it's a "3-series", then when they see it - "you didn't tell me it was a M3!", then I'm like, htf does she know that?

For me it attracts both good and annoying attention. There's always the idiot that wants to try and race in traffic but it's nice when a chick comes up and tells you it's sexy.

+1000

I usually use the E46 for the first pull up. Then when we have to run out go to the garage for the E92. She's always like "but isn't your car outside?" And then the look

I never got how dudes are like "you must get so many chicks with that car". What am I supposed to do, ram it into their office building or something?

You have to be able to get the girl first, the car certainly helps seal the deal after that fact, no doubt about it.

Otherwise the car is a total dick magnet; single women should buy this car.

That's stupid. When I have a girl in the car I take the opportunity to be the world's smoothest 6MT driver. Why would you purposely scare a girl? Because race car?

Well, unless it's a long term girlfriend, but that's a different story.

THATS IT..

I mean I havent picked up girls with my car since high school ...having the car is just the icing on the cake when you have already met the girl..

I am not in the bar/club/work etc.. wearing a sign saying "I drive an M3" or walking around with my key fob swinging from my belt

You would think that an even more expensive car such as a 911 Turbo S would be more of a chick magnet, but its not. I have a friend who owns one, and he admits that he spent the $180k to impress the ladies, but it's only guys that approach him.

Put on some 20s and you'll get more girls. No girl will give a shit if you have adjustable camber plates or a SC under the hood. To be frank there are a lot more bling cars out there to get the attention of girls/women. Heck a used S class that you can buy for $40K will get more attention from a girl than the M3. I really don't care who's attention I catch, but I do get these looks from A4 1.8T (with a BOV and FMIC) and of course all the honda and nissan/infinity guys. The minute I see aftermarket LED lights in front or a muffler on the back for sure I will get the look treatment.
